2. Resistor Definition
3. Resistor Symbol
4. Resistor Value
5. Resistor Color Code
6. What is a Resistor Used For
7. Types Of Resistor
8. How does a Resistor work
9. Resistor In Series
10. Resistor in parallel

 What Is Resistor
Resistor is a passive electrical components, which has two terminal. In any electrical networks or electronic circuits resistor used for reduce current and voltage. Resistors value represent by Ohm.

Resistor Symbol
Resistor Value
The Unit of resistor is Ohm (Ω). Resistor's  value measure in Ohms, Kilo Ohm,Mega Ohm.

Resistor Color Code
Resistor has color code.The value of  Resistor is measure by given color code on the resistor.Generally Resistor has four band, five band,six band,But mainly four band resistor are available.
Here a table for measuring Resistor Value...
Black 0 1
Brown 1 10
Red 2 100
Orange 3 1000
Yellow 4 10000
Green 5 100000
Blue 6 1000000
Violet 7 10000000
Grey 8 100000000
White 9 1000000000
Silver 10%
Gold 5%
None 20%

Example:- Here is a example for how to calculate value of resistor by using Above table.
Here last band is Tolerance of this Resistor value.Second last is multiplier and first two band is use normal value.
By above Table the Digit of each color is given. So let's find the value
Red = 2
Violet = 7
Green = 5
Gold = 5%
So value is = 27*10^5
means 2700 kiloOhm

What is a Resistor used for
Resistor used for limiting current or voltage.Resistor oppose the flow of electron in the circuit or network.It also used for devide the voltage in the network.

Types Of Resistor
Mainly two types of resistor Fixed and variable
Fixed Resistor has parmanent value,we cannot change the value of this Resistor.
In Variable Resistor we can change the value of resistor by given value

How does a Resistor Works
Resistor Oppose flow of electron. When electron flow into resistor the material of resistor oppose and can't flow all electron through it.Other side of resistor we can achieve less electron compare to apply electron.
Resistor In Series
When resistor use in network with series then the value of resistors will be added like in any network one resistor which value 50 ohms and another resistor has 50 ohm value. The total resistance of network is 100 ohms
Total Resistance = R1 + R2 +......+ Rn
Resistor In Parallel
When in any network resistors are connected in parallel then the value of total resistance find by given Equation
1/Total Resistance = 1/R1 + 1/R2 +......+  1/Rn
